The Story:
As far as iconic World Cup kits go, the Denmark 1986 home kit is one of the most memorable. The 1986 World Cup was supposed to be played in Colombia, but due to economic reasons, they had to resign as host, making Mexico the first country to host it twice.
The Dane's had a marvellous start to their campaign winning all 3 group games. They beat Scotland 1-0, Uraguay a huge 6-1 and also beat West Germany 2-0. In the round of 16 game, Denmark had a great start when they took the lead through Jesper Olsen, but unfortunately, they were taking apart almost single-handedly by Spains' Butragueño who scored 4 of the 5 goals that the Spainards put past them.
Unlike the round of 16 performance, the home kit will live long in the memory of all football fans, and hopefully these socks will too. These socks have been made in partnership with Classic Football Shirts and are made with combed cotton meaning they're breathable and are perfect for every occasion. They feature a zoned cushioned design and arch support to provide a snug and comfortable fit.
