The Story:
Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima was a proper phenomenon. Too quick for defenders, goalkeepers, and even cameramen, R9 was deadlier than anything you can find on the island prison called Australia. In 1998 alongside the likes of Cafu, Carlos, Romario, Dunga, and co, he helped Brazil to the 1998 Fifa World Cup final, where they met their match in the form of Zizou’s France in the final. Despite the loss, Ronaldo still picked up the Golden Ball award for his efforts.

The ’90s was an odd time for football kits. Crazy design, nipple chaffing material, and emerging technologies only added to this.
