The Story:
The late 90’s for Sheffield Wednesday weren’t exactly memorable. The 97/98 season for Owls was meant to be one of challenging for Europe as they signed the mighty Paolo Di Canio from Celtic and hopes were high. Despite him being the top scorer, that season, they narrowly avoided relegation.
The next season saw them secure a mid-table finish, despite being favourites for relegation, but the most memorable part of their 98/99 campaign was Paolo Di Canio’s 11 match ban. In a game against Arsenal, Di Canio was involved in a scuffle with the likes of Vieira, Keown, Winterburn and Humphries. As Di Canio is given his marching orders, he retaliates by shocking the football world, as he pushes referee Paul Alcock to the ground.
He claims that the push wouldn’t have knocked over his 8-year-old daughter, just as we claim that our socks won’t fit your 8-year-old daughter. These socks are made with combed cotton meaning they're breathable and are perfect for every occasion. They feature a zoned cushioned design and arch support to provide a snug and comfortable fit.
