The Story:
Arsenal's 2005/2006 "Redcurrant" Home Shirt is one of their best ever shirts for many reasons. This shirt featured in Arsenal's final campaign at Highbury and was the clubs' way of celebrating its history at that wonderful ground.
The 05/06 season for Thierry Henry was like no other. He was the leagues' top scorer with 27 goals, scored his 100th Premier League Goal, and become the club's top scorer all in the same season. Henry also scored a hattrick in the last game at Highbury. The perfect way to say goodbye to the ground.
His campaign that year earned him 3rd place in the Ballon d'Or, falling behind Fabio Cannavaro & Gianluigi Buffon, and the FWA Footballer of the Year along with a spot in the FIFA World XI. Currently the 6th highest scorer in the EPL, there's no questioning Theirry Henry's status as one of the best bagsman about.
