The Story:
Croatia at the 1998 Fifa World Cup was almost unstoppable. Like an angry little brother who's had enough of being teased, they took no prisoners on their journey. They made it all the way to the semi-finals where they were knocked out 2-1 by eventual winners France.
The Croatia team of 98 was something else. The Golden Boot winning Davor Šuker, the police kicking Zvonimir Boban, the defensive unit Slaven Bilić, the silky Aljoša Asanović, and more. The team went on to win the 3rd place playoff against Holland and along the way won the hearts of their nation and many others.
